Portals of Ideas

Gratitude is a lesson hard to learn for those who look upon the world amiss.
The most that they can do is see themselves as better off than others.

And they try to be content because another seems to suffer more than they.
How pitiful and deprecating are such thoughts!

For who has cause for thanks while others have less cause?

And who could suffer less because he sees another suffer more?

Your gratitude is due to Him alone Who made all cause of sorrow disappear throughout the world.

Observation

...Each day is an amazing formulation of observing how I interpret my dream. I witness to all the forms that come my way ...and the first 7 lessons of the workbook come in damm handy,to remember I am only looking at myself.

These first 7 lessons are a single memory of a frame of ideas that in any possible event, situation or observation can bring a smile to my face and the happy realization that I am the dreanmer and the dream simultenausly.

Now each day I am in a state of adventure of all possible combinations to remind me of a body identificatio in space/time, and to be aware I did not make myself but are responding to a fragment of a previous interpretation ...Phew!!
Thank You Father

Self-recognition

In A Course in Miracles I read that "Awakening runs easily and gladly through the Kingdom, in answer to the Call for God."

"This is the natural response of every Son of God to the Voice for his Creator, because It is the Voice for his creations and for his own extension."

It is a joy to witness to this idea as an experience of resurrection seen in a fellow brother who becomes in a quantum instant the object and subject in this idea of self-recognition. A simultaneous touch of Light among all present

Knowing or knowledge of the unity of the Will of God is an enlightening instant of pure freedom, a moment of breathless purity, never to be forgotten.

Making the connection between this quantum leap, this stepping from objective time to eternal reality, the movement from the dark particle form to the certainty of the wave of creative light energy is only an acknowledgement of a unified force field or a Holy Spirit — a totality of the continuing unity of time and eternity.

The Lazy Man's Guide to Enlightenment

We can vary our experience of time by changing our vibrations, just as we alter our perception of the rest of the physical universe.

Our concepts, feelings, and limited relations have beginnings and endings in time, but we do not. On the space level, when we are completely expanded, the time is always now.

When you look at a lake, there is no water in your mind. Put another way, the awareness of a hard object has no hardness in it.

The awareness of confusion is not confused. The awareness of insanity is not insane. The awareness of the passage of time takes no time, there is no time in it.

We "measure" time by the compulsive repetition of interactions on the mass level. And the more expanded our consciousness, the less compulsion we are involved in.

Our subjective awareness of time is often at variance with the clock.

Knowing is not open to interpretation.

What immeasurable toil went into weaving the human thought form, what endless time, what trial and error,
what a countless multitude of hands!

Education is infinitely commonplace….but what could be more ordinary than the three dimensions in space,
the fall of a body, the propagation of light, the growth of a plant?

The simplicity is time and space are an interpretation of observation.

Time, acting on space, and incorporating it within itself, constitutes a single progression in which space represents a momentary section of the flow, which is endowed with depth and coherence by time.

In any attempt to bring coherence to a reconciliation of ideas the first obstacle is language itself and the capacity to listen.

For as long as we move in an atmosphere that is saturated with both scientific
and intellectual discourses constantly reaching out to inform, permeate and mould, the process of reading or listening can never be more than minimal philosophical aspiration or the concern of a minority.

Unless of course it comes to be seen as a valid point of departure, should the past become uninhabitable, and a change of route worth the attempt.

"a priori" and "a posteriori"

Nothing the world believes is true. It is a place whose purpose is to be a home where those who claim they do not know themselves can come to question what it is they are.

And they will come again until the time Atonement is accepted, and they learn it is impossible to doubt yourself, and not to be aware of what you are.

Only acceptance can be asked of you, for what you are is certain. It is set forever in the holy Mind of God, and in your own.

It is so far beyond all doubt and question that to ask what it must be is all the proof you need to show that you believe the contradiction that you know not what you cannot fail to know.

Is this a question, or a statement which denies itself in statement? Let us not allow our holy minds to occupy themselves with senseless musings such as this.(lesson139)

Ideas are of the mind

A Course in Miracles is the unfolding of a single thought, and that all its ideas have the most intimate connection with one another.

Each idea stands in a neccesary relation to that which immediately precedes it, as a serie of inferences, but every idea of the whole message of A Course in Miracles is related to every other idea in the memory of the teacher/student as a presupposition.

So that in each thought the teacher/student is accepting-a decision-is able to connect all previous ideas at any instant.

For the acceptance of a single thought into many aspects is indeed the only means of communicating it.

Knowledge is not to be found in words, but from living knowledge expressing itself in action and conduct alone.

Saturday, September 19, 2009

Spirit as an activating agent-The Holy Spirit-the mechanism of my decision is ever present to inspire me to accept myself and the world I think I live in.

Its only in the action of Atonement-Acceptance I can recognize who I AM.
A beginning and end simultaneously.

The joy and freedom of that recognition is an ever greater expanding awareness of the Universe as Myself-or-Myself as the Universe.

Message and Messenger are One

A Course in Miracles invites us

"To Know Thyself" to be aware that we are the message and the messenger in that immediate acceptance of ourselves.

There is no limitation on all the forms designed to strenghten that immediate acceptance, that everything is an idea.

Recognition of responsibility is the answer, rather then the interpretation of my observation.

I travel in time and space in all its aspects, degrees and intervals, but no longer fooled by my previous observations to believe they are outside of me.

And so they return where they never left 'Home'

A Voyage

A singular voyage of discovery on the vast
charted seas of what
I will call A Course in Miracles,
A key of self-recognition.
A tool to remember that what
'I-Am-Is-What Life-Is'
An action of mind to cancel away
the endless reactions called time and space,
in which I found an identity,
ever not finding peace of mind.
An interpretation of my observation,
always the past that returns until it is accepted in gratitude.
Knowing full well there could not
have been any other way to discover a singular voyage

A Light Has Entered

Look up and see His Word among the stars, where He has set your name along with His.

Look up and find your certain destiny the world would hide but God would have you see.

It is when the pain of our own separate identity is experienced that our eyes lift up and like ripples of awarenesses, as seeing the greater picture of our own observation.

Space is ever ready to receive us as awakening beings.

Like Emerson expressed it in his essay on: "Circles" The eye is the first circle; the horizon which it forms is the second; and throughout nature this primary picture is repeated without end. It is the highest emblem in the cipher of the world.

St. Augustine described the nature of God as a circle whose centre was everywhere and its circumference nowhere.

My Mind holds only what I think with God

And yet, your mind holds only what you think with God. Your self-deceptions cannot take the place of truth.

No more than can a child who throws a stick into the ocean change the coming and the going of the tides, the warming of the water by the sun, the silver of the moon on it by night.

So do we start each practice period in this review with readying our minds to understand the lessons that we read, and see the meaning that they offer us.

Begin each day with time devoted to the preparation of your mind to learn what each idea you will review that day can offer you in freedom and in peace.

Open your mind, and clear it of all thoughts that would deceive, and let this thought alone engage it fully, and remove the rest.( A Course in Miracles)

This Course in Miracles is not intended to answer all questions that both teacher and pupil may raise.

In fact, it covers only a few of the more obvious ones, in terms of a brief summary of some of the major concepts in the text and workbook.

It is not a substitute for either, but merely a supplement.

While it is called a manual for teachers, it must be remembered that only time divides teacher and pupil, so that the difference is temporary by definition.

Ask yourself, "How long is an instant?"

You may wonder how you can be at peace when, while you are in time, there is so much that must be done before the way to peace is open. Perhaps this seems impossible to you.

But ask yourself if it is possible that God would have a plan for your salvation that does not work. Once you accept His plan as the one function that you would fulfill, there will be nothing else the Holy Spirit will not arrange for you without your effort.

He will go before you making straight your path, and leaving in your way no stones to trip on, and no obstacles to bar your way. Nothing you need will be denied you.

Not one seeming difficulty but will melt away before you reach it. You need take thought for nothing, careless of everything except the only purpose that you would fulfill.

As that was given you, so will its fulfillment be. God's guarantee will hold against all obstacles, for it rests on certainty and not contingency.
It rests on you. And what can be more certain than a Son of God?

It is impossible to evaluate a believe system from within. Its range precludes this. You can only go beyond it, look back from a point where harmony exists and see the contrast.

Only by this contrast can the ego structure be judged as not wanted any longer.
A simple question yet remains, and needs an answer “Do you like what you have made? “

We cannot gain access to the answer of the meaning of self, unless in a moment of darkness-despair-loneliness, its seeming gravity as the laws of objective cause and effect overtakes us, and we are perplexed, fearful, devoid of meaning about our purpose and function in this world.

We yearn for a new birth or for a brief respite from our conflictual self-identity in knowing the answer that echoes the call since beginningless time by all awakened minds “Surrender the Idea of a Separate Self!”

The truth - and understanding of cosmic relationships,

The truth - and understanding of cosmic relationships,
universe facts, and spiritual values -
can only be had through the ministry of the spirit of truth.

The fruit of creative action is not theory but practice; not conceptual clarity, but a shift or change in how we view the world.

When we accept ourselves, our brother, or our neighbor as ourselves in the action of looking again at a form of our own interpretation of observation in time and space then another world is there already waiting for this recognition, a holy instant.

Only after the deep sleep fell upon Adam could he experience nightmares. If a light is suddenly turned on while someone is dreaming a fearful dream, he may initially interpret the light itself as part of his dream and be afraid of it.

However, when he awakens, the light is correctly perceived as the release from the dream, which is then no longer accorded reality. This release does not depend on illusions.

The knowledge that illuminates not only sets you free, but also shows you clearly that you are free.

Quantum teachings are challenging our common sense objective experience and are demanding a radical reformulation of our scientific understanding of physical reality.

Hovering on the edge of religious rhetoric. Scientists are beginning to discuss the idea of a "unified theory" of creation.

Where, but in a personal experience of singularity, do the worlds of science and religion meet?

What does the simultaneous communication of distant particles imply about the reality of our apparent separation from one another?

Have we limited our definition of life to the perception of a narrow range of reflective light energy?

Was Jesus the first quantum scientist in his assertion that "I am the light of the World

“Why Am I Here? “

To stare up to the stars with the eyes alone tells one nothing, but to perceive the response deep within one's being is another thing altogether.

Far below the surface of Personal Consciousness, and even beyond the Individual Unconscious is something in everyone that is akin to what is permeating the vast space overhead.
On looking within it is perceived as deep and wide and as full of mystery.

For perhaps a brief minute man perceives the distance between, the nearest stars and the stellar cloudbanks of our own galaxy.

Maybe he even begins to see the pale disk of our neighboring nebula Andromeda, the idea of another cosmic order and beyond this, and the unimaginable fact that there are as many galaxies as there are stars in sight.
This realization is awe-inspiring.

We fly today, shuttle rockets to the planets, can carry on long-distance conversations and see far beyond our Milky Way to other galaxies, assuming that we all know more than men did before our time—but in fact this is only information about things, not direct knowledge of them.

One may view the thousand-fold magnified image of molecules on an electron microscope, but know nothing beyond the borrowed information of learning.

The universe of learning will open up before you in all its gracious simplicity.

A Course in Miracles message is simplicity itself.

This is not always immediately experienced as the old thought-form tries to grasp the words and then assimilate them together to want to understand them, and to give it a meaning.

This is often experienced as painful, and gives an idea of standing in an impossibility. Yes just perfect!

Understanding means that you are standing under it, rather then moving through the words in another world, to find yourself in utter simplicity.

The Confussion of Pain and Joy

It is surely clear that you can both accept into your mind what is not there, and deny what is. Yet the function God Himself gave your mind through His you may deny, but you cannot prevent.

It is the logical outcome of what you are. The ability to see a logical outcome depends on the willingness to see it, but its truth has nothing to do with your willingness.
Truth is God's Will. Share His Will and you share what He knows. Deny His Will as yours, and you are denying His Kingdom and yours.

The Holy Spirit will direct you only so as to avoid pain. Surely no one would object to this goal if he recognized it. The problem is not whether what the Holy Spirit says is true, but whether you want to listen to what He says.

You no more recognize what is painful than you know what is joyful, and are, in fact, very apt to confuse the two.

A Space of Renewing-The Beach-

The joy of sand and surf, the sound of waves, the seagulls, the board riders, children playing in the sand, an ice-cream vendor ...
All these forms are an experience of lesson 151 of the workbook of A Course in Miracles
" All Things Are Echoes Of The Voice For God"
